These positions are suited to doctors at FY4 level and above with a solid foundation in Emergency Medicine, looking to transition into the Australian system with structured support and a manageable clinical scope.
Key aspects of the role include: Autonomous overnight ED coverage with on-call FACEM support Exposure to a broad mix of emergency presentations (excluding major trauma and paediatrics) No expectation to perform procedural sedation or major fracture reductions overnight Access to ICU support where required Opportunity to lead shifts and manage patient flow independently These positions function similarly to Career Medical Officer (CMO) level, within a non-tertiary, non-accredited training environment.
