As part of their continued business expansion and commitment to financial excellence, we are seeking a qualified Accountant to join their professional team at our Kilburn headquarters.
Position Purpose The Accountant will manage day-to-day financial operations, prepare detailed financial statements, ensure full compliance with Australian tax obligations, and support strategic budgeting and forecasting.
This role is crucial for maintaining the financial accuracy, operational efficiency, and overall stability of our organisation.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: Maintain and reconcile financial records, general ledgers, and bank statements.
Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Prepare and lodge Business Activity Statements (BAS), Instalment Activity Statements (IAS), and tax returns.
Oversee accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll functions.
Assist in developing annual budgets, financial forecasts, and cash flow analysis.
Ensure strict compliance with Australian Taxation Office (ATO)



and Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) regulations.
Liaise effectively with external auditors, tax agents, and relevant regulatory authorities.
Deliver key financial insights and reports to management to support strategic decision-making.
Utilize accounting software—including Xero, XRef , AS400, MYOB, and advanced Excel—for daily operations and financial reporting.
Requirements: Education: Master's degree in accounting.
Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of relevant, hands-on work experience in an accounting role.
Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of Australian Accounting Standards (AASB) and taxation legislation.
Software Proficiency: Proven expertise using accounting systems (Xero, MYOB, XRef AS400) and Microsoft Excel.
Skills: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and numerical accuracy skills with high attention to detail.
Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
Work Ethic: Strong ability to manage deadlines, work independently, and contribute effectively within a team environment.
