Full-time Bricklayer position available in Bilgola Plateau NSW **** JPM Building Pty Ltd is a residential construction and renovation business delivering high-quality building and home improvement services across New South Wales.
The company specialises in residential renovations, bricklaying, carpentry, retaining walls, staircases, balustrades, paving, site preparation, joinery, plastering, waterproofing, tiling and painting.
To support its ongoing residential construction and renovation projects, JPM Building Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Bricklayer to construct and repair brick, block and other masonry structures.
The successful candidate will perform high-quality bricklaying work in accordance with architectural drawings, project specifications, building standards and workplace safety requirements.
Position Responsibilities and Tasks Read and interpret architectural drawings, specifications and site plans to determine project requirements, materials, dimensions and construction procedures.
Lay bricks, concrete blocks, pre-cut stone and other masonry units to construct and repair walls, partitions, fences, arches and retaining structures.
Mix, apply and spread mortar or other bonding materials to ensure proper adhesion, alignment and structural integrity.
Cut and shape bricks and masonry units using hand tools and brick-cutting machinery to fit around windows, doors and irregular spaces.
Use string lines, plumb bobs and spirit levels to ensure brickwork is straight, level, aligned and structurally sound.
Seal foundations and install damp-proofing materials, flashings,



insulation and wall ties in accordance with building plans and specifications.
Safely erect and dismantle restricted-height scaffolding to access elevated work areas.
Repair and restore damaged or deteriorated brickwork, including repointing mortar joints, resetting loose bricks and replacing damaged sections.
Clean excess mortar from finished surfaces and ensure completed brickwork meets structural and aesthetic standards.
Assist with site measurements, material estimates and reporting work progress to Site Supervisors.
Coordinate with Site Supervisors, Carpenters and other trades to support efficient project delivery and quality control.
Comply with company safety procedures, PPE requirements, workplace health and safety obligations and applicable construction regulations.
Qualifications and Skills Relevant bricklaying trade qualification or equivalent relevant work experience.
At least 1 year of relevant experience as a Bricklayer is highly desirable.
Demonstrated experience laying bricks, concrete blocks and other masonry materials.
Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, site plans and construction specifications.
Competence in mortar preparation, brick cutting, alignment, damp-proofing and masonry repair work.
Sound knowledge of workplace health and safety requirements within the construction industry.
Solid attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with Site Supervisors and other trades.
Salary: This is a full-time position with a competitive remuneration package ranging from $80,000 to $85,000 p.a. plus superannuation for a 38-hour work week.
