Composite Technician – Aerial Firefighting Systems
Working alongside a team of experienced technicians, you will be involved in the manufacture, assembly, repair and modification of advanced composite components used in our helicopter firefighting systems.
Key responsibilities
Dry material lay‐up of carbon fibre and fibreglass components
Vacuum infusion and other composite manufacturing processes
Bonding and assembly of composite components
Working with epoxy systems, resins and adhesives
Mould preparation and composite part manufacture
Trimming, finishing and preparation of composite components
Repair and modification of composite structures
Reading and following drawings, work instructions and manufacturing procedures
Maintaining a high standard of quality and workmanship throughout the manufacturing process
Completing required production, maintenance and process records
About you
Good knowledge of composite materials,
manufacturing practices and processes
Experience working with carbon fibre, fibreglass, epoxy and resin systems
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality
The ability to follow technical instructions, drawings and established processes
Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
A practical, problem‐solving approach
A solid focus on workplace health and safety
