We're seeking compassionate, reliable Support Workers to join our team across Sydney, including but not limited to the following areas: Inner West Ryde and Surrounds St George Area Northern Beaches South-Western Sydney North Shore ABOUT THE ROLE Mounties Care is seeking a compassionate and experienced Casual Support Worker to provide respite support for a client living in Whale Beach, NSW!
This is a casual position offering two weekday shifts per week, working 9:00am to 4:00pm.
You will be supporting a client living with dementia, so previous dementia care experience is essential.
This is an excellent prospect for someone looking for regular casual work while making a genuine difference in the life of an older person.
Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:



Providing companionship and meaningful social engagement Supporting a client living with dementia using a calm, person-centred approach Assisting with personal care, including showering, dressing and grooming as required Preparing meals and assisting with light household duties Supporting community outings, walks and appointments Monitoring client wellbeing and reporting any changes Encouraging independence while ensuring the client's safety and comfort ABOUT YOU The successful candidate will have: Demonstrated experience supporting people living with dementia (essential) Experience in aged care, home care or disability support Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing, Disability or equivalent) – desirable A caring, patient and reliable nature Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Current First Aid
