Community Personal Support Worker – AMOR Caring Location: Maitland, Newcastle, and Central Coast Employment Type: Full-Time About AMOR Caring AMOR Caring is a registered NDIS provider committed to delivering high-quality, person-centred care and support services to individuals with disabilities and older adults.
We focus on enhancing independence, dignity, and overall well-being.
As part of our growing team, we are seeking compassionate and dedicated Community Personal Support Workers to join us.
Key Responsibilities Client Assessment Planning Conduct intake interviews with NDIS participants and families to assess needs, goals, and barriers.
Develop, implement, and review Individual Support Plans (ISPs) in line with NDIS funding and participant goals.
Collaborate with participants to design programs that enhance daily living, education, training, and community participation.
Program Implementation Support Delivery Provide direct supports including daily living assistance, community access, psychosocial support, and capacity building.
Facilitate training workshops on life skills, employment readiness, and social participation.
Deliver care within Supported Independent Living (SIL), respite, and community settings.
Monitoring, Reporting Compliance Maintain accurate progress notes, service records, and outcome reports in line with NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission standards.
Monitor participant progress and adjust supports as required.
Assist with NDIS plan reviews and prepare funding submissions.
Referral Community Engagement Refer participants to specialist providers such as therapists, housing services, and training organisations.
Build networks with community groups, advocacy bodies,



and local councils.
Represent AMOR Caring at community events and disability expos.
Family Participant Support Provide guidance and respite to families and carers.
Educate families on navigating the NDIS system, entitlements, and available resources.
Support participants in overcoming social, emotional, and financial challenges.
Specialised Support (as required) Assist participants with justice involvement in collaboration with corrective services.
Deliver culturally appropriate services for participants from diverse backgrounds.
Skills, Experience Qualifications Essential: Diploma (or equivalent) in Community Worker, Social Work, Human Services, or Welfare.
2–3 years' experience in the community services, disability, or welfare sector.
Sound knowledge of the NDIS framework, participant rights, and safeguarding standards.
Solid communication and interpersonal skills to engage with clients from diverse backgrounds.
Demonstrated experience in case management and professional report writing.
Desirable: Experience working in an NDIS-registered organisation.
Additional training in Mental Health First Aid, Positive Behaviour Support, or Disability Care.
Fluency in multiple languages, supporting a multicultural client base.
