About the role:
Carinity Education –Gladstone is seeking a passionate,experienced, and proactive Senior Youth Worker – Learning Support(SYWLS) to join our committed and student focused team.
In this rewarding leadership role, you will champion bestpractice youth work, providing guidance, support, and supervisionto our Youth Worker team while fostering a positive and inclusivelearning environment. You will play a pivotal role in empoweringstudents to build confidence, overcome barriers, and achievemeaningful personal and educational outcomes. Through strongrelationships, support strategies, and a commitment to studentsuccess, you will contribute to creating brighter futures for youngpeople in our community.

What do you need for the role?
You are a compassionate and resilient youth work professionalwho is passionate about supporting young people to overcomebarriers and achieve positive outcomes. You bring strong leadershipskills, a student-centred approach, and the ability to buildtrusting relationships in a dynamic and rewarding educationalenvironment.
A Diploma of Youth Work or a related discipline
Experience supporting vulnerable, disengaged ormarginalized young people to achieve positive outcomes
A strong understanding of co-regulation practices andtrauma informed approaches to behaviour support
Demonstrated experience leading,
supervising and mentoringYouth Workers in a complex or challenging workplace
Maintain accurate, timely and detailed case notes, records,and reports to support effective case management and positivestudent outcomes
Highly developed interpersonal, verbal, and writtencommunication skills, with the ability to collaborateeffectively with students, families, and multidisciplinaryteams
Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
Current Bus Licence (LR) or willingness to obtain
