About the Role
Join 3Bridges as a
Youth Worker
within our Youth and Families team. Working within our Early Intervention Framework, you'll support and engage young people through our Youth Drop-In Space and targeted school-based programs.
The role focuses on empowering young people and their families to make positive and informed life choices by providing practical support, information, and connections to community services and opportunities. You'll help create a safe, inclusive and welcoming environment where young people feel respected, supported and encouraged to participate in programs that promote personal growth, wellbeing and life skills development.
This is a
part-time role of 22.5 hours per week across 3 days
–
Tuesday, Friday, and either Wednesday or Thursday
, with flexibility around the third day.
This role is ideal for someone who is
passionate about youth work, culturally responsive, and committed to supporting young people from diverse backgrounds
. You'll bring a strengths-based and trauma-informed approach to your work and help create positive outcomes for young people and their families.
Key Responsibilities
Engage respectfully with young people within the Youth Drop-In Space and provide additional support where required.
Work within the Community and Family Support (CAFS) framework to support at-risk young people and their families.
Provide information, referrals, and support to access services and opportunities available within the community.
Facilitate targeted group activities, programs, games, and learning experiences for young people.
Plan and deliver targeted school-based programs focused on personal, social, and emotional development.
Create a safe and welcoming setting that celebrates diversity and supports inclusion.
Empower young people through strengths-based practice and encourage participation in social and wellbeing programs.
Maintain accurate reporting, statistics, incident documentation, and comply with Child Protection and WHS requirements.
About You
Minimum Certificate IV in Youth Work or equivalent qualification.
Experience engaging with young people from diverse cultural and socio-economic backgrounds.
Demonstrated understanding of trauma-informed practice and youth-centered frameworks.
Experience facilitating targeted programs, activities, and learning experiences for young people.
Strong communication, mentoring, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Experience working with complex needs, including mental health, AOD, housing, or juvenile justice highly regarded.
Current Working with Children Check.
Current First Aid Certificate.
