Key Responsibilities
Provide high-quality education and care in accordance with the National Quality Framework (NQF), National Quality Standard (NQS), EYLF and relevant legislation and regulations.
Build warm, respectful and responsive relationships with children and families.
Support the planning, implementation and evaluation of meaningful learning experiences based on children's interests, strengths and developmental needs.
Observe and document children's learning and contribute to individual and group learning goals.
Support children's independence, confidence and sense of belonging through respectful and intentional teaching practices.
Contribute to a thoughtfully prepared learning environment that encourages exploration, independence and purposeful play.
Incorporate Montessori principles into everyday practice, including respect for the child, practical life skills, independence and the educator's role as a guide.
Maintain active supervision and ensure children's health, safety and wellbeing at all times.
Follow service policies and procedures relating to child safety, supervision, hygiene, sleep and rest, food safety, medical conditions and emergency procedures.
Maintain professional and respectful communication with families regarding their child's day, development and wellbeing.
Work collaboratively with other educators, sharing responsibilities and contributing positively to the team environment.
Participate in staff meetings, professional development, reflective practice and continuous improvement.
Maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries at all times.
Ensure rooms, resources and shared spaces are clean, organised, protected and welcoming.
Actively uphold the service's Child Safe practices and promptly report any concerns regarding a child's safety or wellbeing.

Qualifications & Requirements
Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care, or an ACECQA-approved equivalent qualification.
Current Working with Children Check.
Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications as required.
Current Child Protection/Mandatory Reporting training.
Knowledge of the EYLF, NQS and relevant Education and Care Services legislation.
