Our modern facilities include 8 Operating Theatres, 52 Surgical beds, 16 bed Day Surgery Unit and 34 bed Rehabilitation Unit. As a Food Service Assistant your responsibilities will include:
Assist in daily food preparation and basic meal assembly
Deliver, serve and collect all patient food requirements and meal trays
Assist in general cleaning of kitchen equipment and utensils including dish and pot washing as required.
Act as a valued member of an interdisciplinary team by promoting a professional and positive team culture.
Provide high standard of customer service
Operate in line with WHS policy & procedures
Deliver excellent customer service to staff, clients and patients
Have demonstrated ongoing commitment to professional development
Authority to Work in Australia
Working with Children check (if relevant)
Experience in aged care or hospital environment (desirable)
Knowledge of food safety and hygiene requirements
Commitment to service excellence.
Strong communication and customer skills
Work well independently and within a team
Versatile to work in 7-day roster
Cooking experience in aged care or hospital environment
