Salary: $79,000 - $85,000 per annum plus 12% Superannuation

Ampol Inverell Roadhouse is seeking an experienced and motivated Retail Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our busy 24-hour service station and convenience retail business in Inverell, NSW. The site provides fuel and convenience services and also includes facilities such as truck parking, showers, public toilets and a restaurant.

Key Responsibilities
•Manage the daily operations of the service station, convenience store and associated retail services, ensuring high standards of customer service and store presentation.
•Monitor fuel and convenience product ranges, stock levels and ordering requirements to ensure products are available to meet customer demand.
•Develop and implement effective purchasing, pricing and promotional strategies to support sales and profitability.
•Promote fuel, convenience products and other services offered by the business and provide customers with knowledgeable and professional assistance.
•Maintain accurate records of stock movements, sales, cash transactions and other financial information.
•Monitor store budgets, sales performance and operating expenses to support the financial objectives of the business.
•Recruit, train,



supervise and roster staff to ensure adequate coverage and efficient service across the 24-hour operation.
•Manage customer enquiries and complaints, ensuring issues are resolved professionally and promptly.
•Ensure fuel, convenience store and food-service operations comply with workplace health and safety, food safety and company requirements.
•Coordinate day-to-day operations to maintain reliable service for local customers, travellers and heavy-vehicle operators using the roadhouse.

Qualifications:
•Tertiary qualification in Retail Management, Business Administration, or Hospitality Management (preferred but not required)
•Minimum of 1 year experience in retail management, preferably within a service station, convenience store, roadhouse or similar high-volume retail environment.

Skills & Requirements:
•Robust understanding of stock control, purchasing, sales and retail operations.
•Demonstrated ability to supervise, train and manage staff.
•Strong customer service and problem-solving skills.
•Good financial, organisational and time-management skills.
•Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, 24-hour retail environment.
•Strong understanding of workplace health and safety and the importance of maintaining a clean, safe and well-presented store.
