A family-owned grain and horticultural business at Euston near Mildura on the Murray River in north-western Victoria has a position available for an experienced MC Driver with tipper and flat-top experience.
Starting at the end of August, you will drive a near-new comfortably appointed Kenworth 659 with 18 speed Road Ranger to move inputs and machinery between farms at Euston and Packenham (near Melbourne) and make grain deliveries to Melbourne or Adelaide.
You will need a clean unrestricted MC licence with road ranger experience, previous grain tipping and flat-top experience and mechanical ability. And if you have an unrestricted HR or HC licence and can rapidly upskill to MC, the farm will help you to obtain your MC licence.
The position best suits a driver located in the Euston, Mildura, Swan Hill area but you can talk to the farmer about basing yourself elsewhere in Victoria and the farmer will arrange loads so you can be home most nights. You can spend all your time in the truck or if you are interested in farm work, you can split your time between the truck and learning tractor work.
This position offers lots of highway runs and is paid by the hour giving you the peace of mind knowing you will be paid to load, unload, queue and drive, and when you are away from home, the farmer pays you an overnight allowance.
