Fundraising Institute Australasia (FIA) is the peak body for fundraising across Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand. FIA supports and represents fundraising professionals and organisations through education, advocacy, professional standards, member engagement and sector leadership.
An opportunity exists for an experienced Member Services Officer to join our friendly, purpose-led team. This is a hands‐on role combining exceptional member service and relationship management with CRM, data and digital responsibilities. You'll be a key point of contact for our members while helping ensure the data, systems and processes behind their experience run smoothly.
Key Areas of Responsibility
Deliver exceptional service and account support to existing and prospective FIA members
Manage member enquiries, onboarding and ongoing engagement across phone, email and other channels
Support membership renewals, retention and acquisition activities
Maintain accurate membership data and undertake regular data quality and CRM processes within Salesforce
Create reports, data extracts and targeted audience lists to support member communications and campaigns
Maintain membership forms, online resources and the member portal
Work collaboratively with Marketing and other FIA teams to support member communications and engagement initiatives
What does our ideal candidate look like?
3-4 years' experience in a customer or member-facing service role
Exceptional customer service skills with a warm, confident communication style
Solid CRM and data management skills, with practical Salesforce experience highly regarded
Strong Excel skills, including experience working with data, extracts and reports
Excellent attention to detail and an understanding of the importance of maintaining high‐quality CRM data
Digitally confident, with an understanding of website backend functionality and the ability to learn and work across different platforms
Highly organised and able to manage changing priorities while working both independently and collaboratively
Experience within a membership organisation, skilled association, peak body, not-for-profit or purpose‐led organisation would be highly regarded
Full Australian working rights with no restrictions are required
