As Senior Wait Staff, you'll be a leader on the floor — setting the standard for service, supporting junior team members, and making sure every guest gets the ST. ALi experience, even when we're three-deep at the door.
Key responsibilities
Deliver warm, attentive, knowledgeable service and build rapport with our regulars
Lead by example on the floor during peak periods, staying composed under pressure
Support and informally coach junior wait staff and new starters
Accurately manage orders, tables and turnover — without ever making guests feel rushed
Know the menu inside out and make thoughtful, guest-first recommendations
Keep your section spotless and reset fast between covers
Assist with opening/closing duties and basic POS/billing
About you
A high level of attention to detail — presentation, accuracy and consistency matter
Availability across weekends and public holidays
Ability to start immediately
Current RSA and food handling certificate (or willingness to obtain)
Pay in line with the Restaurant Industry Award, Level 3: Full time/part-time: $*****/hour weekdays, $***** Saturday, $***** Sunday, $***** public holidays, $*****–$***** overtime — plus paid annual leave and personal/sick leave. Casual: $*****/hour weekdays, $***** Saturday, $***** Sunday, $***** public holidays, $*****–$***** overtime
