Northern Hire Group Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled
Mechanic
to join our team in Echuca, VIC. This is a
full-time position
that offers flexibility whilst maintaining the quality and reliability of our equipment. As a Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in maintaining, repairing and servicing all equipment used across our hire range, ensuring our customers receive reliable and well-maintained machinery for their projects and operations.
What you'll be doing
Diagnosing faults and mechanical issues across our broad range of hire equipment.
Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and prepare ready for use.
Maintaining a clean workshop, ordering parts in advance to allow simultaneous operation of our equipment range.
What we're looking for
Proven experience as a mechanic working with small petrol and diesel engines
Competency in auto-electrical and hydraulic components
Ability to refurbish equipment and components when needed including welding, painting, etc
Proficiency in diagnostics, troubleshooting, operation of scan tools specific to machinery
Attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality workmanship
Ability to work independently and manage your time effectively




Good communication skills and a customer-focused approach
A current driver's licence
Relevant qualifications or certifications in mechanics would be advantageous
