About the Role
The Family Violence Case Manager for Victim Survivors will assist people experiencing current or recent family violence. The program provides support with education and information, goal setting, safety planning, along with advocacy and supporting to access other services as needed. The target group includes those for whom family violence contributes to circumstances that threaten, or adversely affect the adequacy, safety, security and affordability of housing and maintenance of the family environment.
The Case Manager for Victim Survivors works within the required local, state and national guidelines and frameworks. The service areas for this position includes Greater Shepparton, Strathbogie and Moira.
Position Context
This position reports to the Manager Family Violence Services and works within the Family Violence Team. It is also expected that this position works within the larger Primary Care Connect team and network with external organisations.
Key Selection Criteria
The following criteria must be met and addressed in applications for consideration for this position:
A qualification in family violence or a related discipline at Bachelor level or above, or A relevantDiploma and at least 2 years' relevant professional experience in related fields as per the Mandatory minimum qualifications for specialist family violence response roles.



(Note-While the MMQ policy requires either a relevant Diploma or two years relevant professional experience, it is a PCC organisational requirement that candidates must meet both of these conditions)
Knowledge of family violence including a strong understanding of MARAM, the Family Violence information Sharing Scheme and the Child Information Sharing Scheme.
Experience in providing assessments, care planning, service coordination and writing case notes and reports.
Experience in providing phone and face to face Case Management.
Knowledge of the principles relating to confidentiality and duty of care.
Experience using technology to complete daily work tasks.
