Lake Macquarie is seeking experienced and enthusiastic Registered Nurse to join our fast-paced
Cardiac Ward
. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a high-acuity workplace caring for patients undergoing complex cardiac and thoracic procedures.
Permanent, full-time opportunity available, working night duty.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality, patient-centred nursing care in a quick-paced cardiac environment
Monitor and manage post-operative cardiac and thoracic surgery patients
Care for patients undergoing interventional cardiology and structural heart procedures
Perform cardiac monitoring and recognise/respond to patient deterioration
Collaborate closely with cardiologists, cardiothoracic surgeons and multidisciplinary teams
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and participate in quality improvement initiatives
Support patients and families through recovery and education
You will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe and effective care delivery in alignment with hospital policies.
Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
Minimum of 12 monthscardiac experience
Ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team
Highly organised with a proven ability to manage emergency situations
Demonstrates robust adaptability in dynamic situations
Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal
