We are seeking a proactive and organised Work Experience Officer to support students in securing meaningful work experience and industry placements, primarily within the Construction curriculum area.
Coordinate placements and ensure all documentation and compliance requirements are met, and undertake employer visits including health and safety assessments.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with construction employers, source new placement opportunities, support industry placements, conduct reviews, and act as a key point of contact for all work experience enquiries.
Maintain accurate records on the College CRM system and provide high-quality guidance and support to students throughout their placement journey.
The ideal candidate will have experience of working with young people aged *****, excellent communication and organisational skills, confidence in using Microsoft 365 applications, and the ability to build effective partnerships with employers and external stakeholders.
Safeguarding is a key component of the role. The successful applicant will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check, including barred list information, as this post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act ****. As part of safer recruitment practices and in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE),
an online search will be completed for all shortlisted candidates. All gaps in employment will be explored, and references will be sought prior to interview wherever possible.
