Heavy Freight Unloaders – Afternoon Shift | Crestmead
Precision Labour Hire is currently recruiting reliable and physically capable Heavy Freight Unloaders to join our busy freight client based in Crestmead.
This is a hands-on, physically demanding role involving the unloading of heavy, bulky and awkward freight throughout the shift. Applicants must be confident performing repetitive heavy manual handling and have previous experience opening and closing trailers, strapping freight and securing loads.

Monday to Friday roster
3:00pm starts
4–6 hours per shift
Ongoing work with immediate starts available
About the Role
Manually unloading heavy freight from trucks and trailers in a busy freight depot
Handling large, bulky and awkward items, including trampolines, gym equipment and oversized goods
Completing repetitive heavy lifting and manual handling throughout the shift
Opening and closing trailer doors and tautliner curtains
Strapping trailers and securing loads correctly
Using load restraint equipment and ensuring freight is safely secured
Breaking down pallets and boxes
Sorting and moving freight throughout the depot




Working safely and efficiently as part of a team while maintaining a consistent pace
What We're Looking For
Previous experience opening and closing trailers and tautliner curtains is essential
Previous experience strapping and securing freight/load restraint is essential
Previous experience in heavy labouring, freight unloading, warehousing, transport or logistics is highly regarded
Must be physically capable of heavy, repetitive manual handling for the entire shift
Confident lifting and moving heavy, bulky and awkward freight safely and consistently
Able to lift 25kg safely, with two-person lifts used for heavier items
Robust understanding of safe load restraint practices
Reliable, punctual and available to start immediately
Comfortable working in a fast-paced and physically demanding freight environment
Committed to following workplace health and safety procedures
Own reliable transport is essential, as the site is not accessible by public transport
Own PPE required, including a hi-vis shirt, work pants and steel cap boots
