Want a physio role with real variety, trusted autonomy and room to grow?
Quest Physio Chermside is looking for an experienced physiotherapist to join our team in a part-time role, with the option to grow into full time for the right person.
This role would suit a clinician who enjoys working independently, communicates clearly, and feels confident managing a wide-ranging caseload across private MSK, NDIS, WorkCover Queensland, CTP, DVA, aged care and Medicare referrals.
You'll need to be comfortable working as the only clinician on site during some sessions, including Mondays and evening clinics. But that doesn't mean you're on your own.
You'll be joining a team that values good clinical reasoning, professional trust, clear systems and genuine support.
If you're looking for a role where you can take ownership of your clinical day without being micromanaged, this could be a strong fit.
About the role
This is a part-time physiotherapy position based at our Chermside clinic.
The role is currently
three fixed days per week
, including
Mondays
and
evening clinic hours
. There is a genuine pathway to increase into full-time work as caseload demand grows.
You'll work across a broad and interesting mix of presentations and funding streams, including:
Private MSK
NDIS
CTP
DVA
Aged care
This means your week will have variety.
You may be helping one person recover from a work injury, supporting another person with long-term function, and helping someone else build confidence after pain or injury.
Because some sessions involve independent work, this role is best suited to a physiotherapist who is already comfortable making sound clinical decisions, managing their own list, communicating clearly and documenting properly.
You won't be expected to know everything. No clinician does.
But you will need to be settled enough in your clinical reasoning to work safely, calmly and professionally when you're the only clinician on site.
You're a physiotherapist who enjoys being trusted to do good work.
You don't need someone watching over every decision, but you do value good systems,
thoughtful colleagues and a team that cares about doing things properly.
What you'll be doing
In this role, you'll be responsible for:
Delivering one-on-one physiotherapy consultations across a mixed caseload
Assessing, treating and progressing patients with transparent clinical reasoning
Creating practical treatment plans that patients can understand and follow
Supporting people with education, movement, exercise and self-management strategies
Writing accurate clinical notes, reports and treatment plans
Managing your clinical day independently during some sessions
Communicating with referrers, support coordinators, insurers and other providers where needed
Collaborating with the wider Quest team when you are not working solo
Contributing to a clinic culture built on care, accountability and continuous improvement
What you'll get at Quest
The role is paid at
$80,000 – $120,000 full-time equivalent
, depending on experience.
For a three-day role, this equates to approximately
$48,000 – $72,000 pro-rata, plus super
.
Real clinical variety
You'll work across private MSK, NDIS, WorkCover Queensland, CTP, DVA, aged care and Medicare referrals.
This is not a role where you'll see the same simple presentation on repeat all day.
Autonomy without isolation
You'll be trusted to manage your own clinical day, including some solo sessions.
At the same time, you'll have access to a supportive team, clear systems and colleagues who want to hear how things are going.
A genuine pathway to full-time
This role starts part-time, but there is real potential to grow into a full-time position as caseload demand increases.
If you're the right fit and want more hours over time, there is room to build that pathway together.
Time to think, plan and develop
We value good clinical reasoning, clear documentation and sustainable practice.
You'll have dedicated non-clinical time to support planning, notes, career development and recovery between clinical demands.
Access to our boutique gym and clinical equipment
You'll have access to our gym space and clinical tools, including MAT measuring tools, to support quality assessment and treatment.
A team that values people, not just numbers
We care about outcomes,
communication and helping people feel more capable.
That applies to our patients, and it applies to our team.
What Quest is about
Quest exists to help people understand, trust and use their bodies in ways that matter to them.
Sometimes that means reducing pain.
Sometimes it means rebuilding strength, confidence or independence.
Sometimes it means helping someone keep doing the things they value, even when life or health has become more complicated.
Our clinicians are expected to care about the person, not just the presentation.
That means we value:
Practical treatment plans
Good documentation
We're not looking for someone who wants to rush people through appointments or follow a script.
We're looking for someone who wants to do thoughtful, useful work with a team that takes the job seriously without taking itself too seriously.
This role may not suit you if
This probably is not the right role if:
You're looking for close daily supervision
You are not comfortable working independently during some sessions
You prefer a narrow or repetitive caseload
You dislike documentation, reports or structured treatment planning
You are looking for visa sponsorship
You want a role where someone else manages every part of your clinical day
That's not a criticism.
It just means this role needs a particular type of clinician.
This role may suit you if
This could be a strong fit if you want:
A part-time role with meaningful responsibility
A varied caseload that keeps you thinking
A clinic that trusts you to manage your own day
A team that supports you without micromanaging you
A role that can grow into full-time work
A workplace where care, communication and clinical reasoning matter
You'll likely be a good fit if you:
Are AHPRA-registered as a physiotherapist
Have full working rights in Australia
Have at least 1–2 years of post-graduate physiotherapy experience
Have solid musculoskeletal experience
Are comfortable managing a mixed caseload
Can work independently during some sessions
Communicate clearly with patients, referrers and the team
Write clear, timely clinical notes and treatment plans
Are self-reflective, coachable and interested in improving over time
Build rapport quickly and genuinely care about the person in front of you
Want to help people leave more capable, informed and confident than when they arrived
You don't need to be the finished product.
You do need to be clinically safe, reliable, thoughtful and willing to keep growing.
