ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking an experienced
Electrical Reliability Engineer
with extensive
Underground Electrical
equipment experience for an up‐and‐coming assignment in QLD. Reporting to the Engineering & Maintenance Manager, executing projects to enhance operational efficiencies and equipping teams to deliver sustainable high‐performance results will be part of your key deliverables. With a drive for continuous improvement and innovation, you will provide direction and governance over maintenance strategies and asset health condition monitoring.
Ideally with underground mining experience and a strong focus on power engineering. Experience in mine electrical infrastructure, HV/LV power systems, network reliability, and electrical drill installations and maintenance is preferred.
You will play a critical role in improving the reliability and lifecycle performance of heavy mobile equipment across a world‐class underground mining operation, including exposure to typical underground mobile fleets such as trucks, loaders, development and production drills, charge‐up and bolting equipment, utility vehicles, and associated support machinery.
This role requires hands‐on experience with Isograph Availability Workbench (AWB), specifically the RCMCost module, to build, optimise, and validate maintenance strategies for mobile fleets.
Key Skills
Facilitate RCM workshops for mobile plant and develop structured, cost‐optimised maintenance strategies using RCMCost.
Lead and execute FMEA and RCFA investigations to deliver robust corrective and preventive actions.
Identify mobile equipment failure modes, degradation mechanisms,
and systemic reliability issues across diverse fleet categories.
Build, validate, and optimise asset strategies using Isograph AWB (RCMCost), including cost modelling, task selection, and lifecycle strategy validation.
Conduct risk assessments aligned with operational, safety, and financial objectives.
Develop proactive maintenance tasks, work instructions, and standardised procedures that support fleet reliability and execution consistency.
Write, review, and optimise technical procedures for mobile plant maintenance.
Experience
Minimum 10 years of
Electrical Reliability Engineering
experience, with at least 5 years focused on mobile plant equipment in mining or heavy industry.
Demonstrated experience developing asset strategies using RCMCost, including cost benefit analysis of maintenance tasks.
Extensive experience facilitating RCM and FMEA for mobile fleets (haul trucks, loaders, dozers, graders, drills, etc.).
Proven ability to embed RCM/RCFA methodologies into structured reliability programs.
HV/LV distribution
Substations and transformers
Protection systems and relays
Electrical compliance and safety
Underground mine electrical infrastructure
Equipment types - electric drills, pumps, winders, ventilation, and fixed plant (LV electric motors)
Experience with reliability analytics tools and mobile fleet health monitoring systems.
Exposure to mining operations, fleet performance metrics, and maintenance best practices.
Australian Work Rights - Birth Certificate, Passport and/or valid Visa.
Qualifications
Engineering Degree in Electrical Engineering >10 years of hands‐on
Underground Electrical Equipment

Formal training and certification in Reliability Engineering methodologies.
CMRP certification (or equivalent) preferred.
