About Us

We're seeking an enthusiastic Cook who is passionate about preparing fresh, healthy meals and making a meaningful contribution to our children's daily experiences.
About the Role
As our Centre Cook, you'll be responsible for planning and preparing nutritious meals and snacks that support children's growth and development while meeting all dietary, allergy, and cultural requirements.
You'll enjoy the support of a national network of Affinity Education cooks, providing opportunities to share ideas, recipes, and best practices. You'll also have access to the
Feed Australia
program, offering expert resources for menu planning, budgeting, and nutrition.
You Will
Plan, prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks for children of all ages
Manage food ordering, stock control, and kitchen budgets
Cater for allergies, dietary requirements, and cultural needs
Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen compliance
Monitor and evaluate menus to ensure nutritional balance
Engage children in positive conversations and learning opportunities about healthy eating
Build positive relationships with families and the centre team
About You
You're a reliable and organised cook who enjoys working in a busy environment and takes pride in providing healthy, delicious meals.




You'll Have
Current Food Safety Supervisor and Food Handling Certificate
Experience in bulk meal preparation and kitchen management
Strong understanding of food safety regulations and nutritional requirements
Experience working within budget and managing stock levels
A genuine passion for children's health and wellbeing
Reliable transport to and from the centre
Desirable
Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)
Previous experience in an Early Childhood Education and Care setting
Current First Aid, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications
