Are you an experienced bid professional looking to make your mark in the renewable energy sector? We're recruiting on behalf of a major contractor delivering large-scale renewable energy projects across Australia - including solar, wind and battery energy storage (BESS) - and they're looking for a Bid Specialist to join their growing team.
About the role
As Bid Specialist, you'll play a key role in securing new work across a strong and growing pipeline of utility-scale renewable energy projects. Working closely with estimating, engineering, commercial and delivery teams, you'll manage the end-to-end bid process - from prospect identification through to submission - helping the business win complex, high-value tenders in a competitive market.
Key responsibilities
Manage the preparation and submission of tenders, EOIs and RFPs for renewable energy and infrastructure projects (solar, wind, BESS, substations).
Coordinate input from estimating, engineering, procurement, HSE and commercial teams to build compliant, compelling bid submissions.
Develop bid strategies, win themes and value propositions tailored to each opportunity.
Manage bid schedules and ensure deadlines are met across multiple concurrent submissions.
Review and refine technical, commercial and compliance content to ensure high-quality,



client-ready documentation.
Support post-tender clarifications, negotiations and debriefs.
Maintain and improve bid templates, content libraries and lessons-learned processes.
About you
Proven experience in a Bid Manager, or Bid Specialist role, ideally within energy, renewables, construction or infrastructure sectors.
Experience bidding on large-scale renewable energy, BESS or substation projects highly regarded.
Strong writing and document management skills, with the ability to translate technical detail into transparent, persuasive bid content.
Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple bids and tight deadlines simultaneously.
Confident working across cross-functional teams - engineering, commercial, estimating and delivery.
Tertiary qualification in business, engineering, construction management or a related field (or equivalent industry experience).
