Position: Cafe / Restaurant Manager
Salary: $79,000 - $85,000 per annum plus 12% Superannuation
Hours: 38 hours per week

Rosemary by Eighty Twenty is a welcoming café in Kingston, offering fresh food, quality coffee, and a relaxed dining experience. The Kingston venue operates throughout the week and caters to local customers with dine-in and takeaway services, including options for customers with special dietary requirements.

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Cafe / Restaurant Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our Kingston café. The successful applicant will be responsible for coordinating staff, maintaining service and food standards, managing stock and suppliers, and ensuring customers receive a consistently positive dining experience.

Key Responsibilities include but not limited to:
•Oversee the daily operations of the café, including front-of-house and kitchen coordination.
•Work with the kitchen team to maintain menu quality, presentation, and appropriate portion standards.
•Coordinate purchasing, stock levels, supplier orders, and pricing in line with business requirements.
•Monitor daily sales, expenses, stock records, and other operational transactions.




•Recruit, train, supervise, and roster café staff to ensure adequate coverage and efficient service.
•Maintain a clean, safe, and well-presented dining and work environment in accordance with food safety and workplace requirements.
•Monitor customer feedback and resolve service concerns professionally to maintain high customer satisfaction.
•Assist with functions, bookings, reservations, and special dining requirements where required.
•Support the business in maintaining productive service, controlling costs, and achieving operational targets.

Qualifications:
•Tertiary qualification in Hospitality Management or a related field is highly desirable.
•Minimum 1 year experience in a café, restaurant, or hospitality management role.

Skills & Other Requirements:
•Strong knowledge of food service and café operations.
•Experience supervising and coordinating hospitality staff.
•Good understanding of stock control, purchasing, and cost management.
•Strong customer service and communication skills.
•Ability to manage a busy service environment and resolve issues effectively.
•Food safety knowledge and relevant hospitality certifications are desirable.
