Leading Hand - Precast & Prestressed Concrete
to join our team in Proserpine, QLD ****. This is a
casual position
that offers flexibility whilst providing the opportunity to lead and supervise a agile workforce in the precast and prestressed concrete manufacturing sector.
As Leading Hand, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient production of high-quality concrete products, maintaining safety standards, and coordinating team activities on site. This position is integral to our operations, directly impacting productivity, quality control, and team performance across all manufacturing processes.
Key responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of precast and prestressed concrete production team
Assisting with mould setup and strip processes by crane and forklift - Securing and moving loads safely on site
Monitor quality control procedures and inspect finished products to meet specified standards and schedules
Manage workflow and production schedules to ensure timely delivery of products
Ensuring quality standards are maintained and documented
Provide technical guidance & Supporting concrete pours and general production tasks
Operate and maintain precast and prestressed concrete equipment and machinery
Report on production metrics and team performance
Identify areas for improvement and recommend solutions to enhance efficiency and productivity
Liaise with Supervisors & Management regarding resource requirements and operational targets
Promoting a strong safety culture across the site
Working together with high-performing Manufacturing team
What we're looking for




Proven experience working in precast and prestressed concrete manufacturing or a related construction environment (1 year min)
Demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience with the ability to motivate and manage teams effectively (2 year min)
Strong knowledge of precast concrete production processes, including casting, curing, and prestressing techniques
Sound understanding of health and safety regulations relevant to manufacturing and construction industries
Competency in operating precast concrete machinery and equipment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively across departments
Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing production challenges
Physical capability to perform hands‐on duties and work in a manufacturing environment
Relevant qualifications such as a White Card, Relevant High Risk Work License
(LF, DG ,RB, C6 min)
