We are seeking a
Junior Project Manager
to join our growing team in Bowral, NSW. This is a
part-time position
(potentially full time for the right candidate) that offers an excellent opportunity for someone keen to launch or develop their career in construction project management. You will support the delivery of residential construction projects (New Builds & Alterations//Additions) whilst developing your expertise in scheduling, coordination, and stakeholder management. This role is based out of our office in
Bowral NSW ****
and provides valuable hands-on experience in a dynamic construction environment.
What you'll be doing
Assisting in the planning, scheduling and coordination of construction projects from inception through to practical completion
Supporting senior project managers in monitoring project timelines, budgets and resource allocation
Liaising with contractors, subcontractors, suppliers and clients to ensure effective communication and project progression
Maintaining accurate project documentation, records and site reports
Conducting site inspections and documenting progress against project specifications and quality standards
Assisting with the preparation of project reports, variations and change orders
Supporting the management of health, safety and environmental compliance on site
Attending project meetings and contributing to problem-solving and decision-making processes
Learning and applying industry best practices in project delivery and construction management
What we're looking for
Ideally a qualification in construction management, project management, civil engineering or a related field, or relevant industry experience
Robust organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage professionally with diverse stakeholders
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and willingness to learn project management software
A solid understanding of construction processes, health and safety principles, and industry regulations
Attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records and documentation
Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues
Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
Current driver's licence and willingness to travel to project sites as required
Desirable: experience with construction management software, knowledge of building codes and standards, or previous involvement in construction projects
