About the Role
Choices And Rights is seeking
passionate and dedicated Female Disability Support Workers
to join our team in Caboolture. In this casual role, you'll support individuals living with disabilities, helping them live independently, safely, and meaningfully within the community.
You will be supporting a participant with complex support needs, including:
Behaviours of concern (physical aggression, absconding, property damage)
Use of physical, environmental, and chemical restraints as outlined in their Positive Behaviour Support Plan (PBSP)
A history of sexualised behaviours of concern (support worker must be
female only
)
Current risk assessments in place, including containment under review
Your responsibilities will include:
Supporting clients with daily living tasks (personal care, meals, cleaning)
Engaging clients in social, community, and recreational activities
Following behaviour support plans, including safe and appropriate use of approved interventions
Documenting progress and reporting incidents accurately




Ensuring clients' rights and dignity are upheld at all times
Working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
What We're Looking For
Certificate III or IV in Disability Support (or willing to obtain)
Experience supporting individuals with high and complex needs
FEMALE APPLICANTS ONLY –

due to participant's behavioural history
Training in physical restraint or willingness to undergo relevant training
Understanding of positive behaviour support frameworks
Strong communication, patience, and empathy
Ability to stay calm under pressure and respond to challenging behaviours
Current driver's licence and access to reliable transport
