With Avani Mooloolaba Beach Hotel now open we are seeking an experienced and passionate Conference & Events Manager to lead both the sales and operational delivery of our meetings, conferences, events, and special occasions.This is a unique opportunity for a commercially minded hospitality qualified who enjoys building client relationships, securing new business, and delivering exceptional events from enquiry through to execution.Working closely with hotel leadership, you will be responsible for growing the conference and events segment, managing client relationships, conducting site inspections, coordinating event delivery, and ensuring every event exceeds expectations.
From corporate meetings and conferences to social celebrations and private functions, you will play a key role in shaping the hotel's success and reputation within the Sunshine Coast market.As part of a newly opened hotel, this is a fantastic opportunity to establish processes, build market presence, and help drive the growth of one of the region's most exciting hospitality destinations.What We're Looking ForProven experience in Conference & Events, Hotel Sales, or Hospitality OperationsStrong sales and business development skills, with a track record of securing new businessExperience managing events from enquiry through to executionExceptional communication, networking, and relationship building skillsStrong organisational and time management capabilitiesA genuine passion for delivering exceptional guest and client experiencesCommercially minded with an understanding of revenue generation and profitabilityAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environmentA hands on approach with a willingness to be present during events and service deliveryFull Australian working rightsKey ResponsibilitiesDrive conference, events, group, and social event sales across the hotelBuild and maintain relationships with corporate clients, local businesses,
