The roleAs part of our System Delivery Group, group, the Technical Publications Team Lead will be responsible for leading, maintaining and growing the Technical Publication team capability within the Naval Combat Systems (NCS) ILS Team.
Further, the successful candidate will:Lead and maintain the Technical Publication Team capability to successfully support NCS requirementsEstimate, plan and support the execution of project deliveriesMaintain team capability to enable development and delivery of Technical Publications to the customerProvide clear direction, task prioritisation and management support to the Technical Publication TeamManage project scope, coordinate resources and allocate tasks to the Technical Publication TeamSupport the S****D capability and associated toolsetsUndertake Control Account and Work Package Management for the Technical Publication activitiesProvide mentoring, training and guidance to develop the members of the teamFlexible work arrangements such as hybrid work from home / office, 9-day fortnight will be considered for this role.About youYour skills and experience will include:Minimum eight years of Technical Writing experience in manufacturing, technology, engineering, electrical or Defence industriesExtensive experience in developing technical and operator manuals for software intensive systemsExcellent command of the English language in written formExperience with S****D publication developmentExperience with developing and editing large and/or complex documents to an advanced level in Microsoft Word and/or Adobe FrameMakerBroad experience with Windows applications and Microsoft OfficeExperience methodologies for the development of documentation for hardware and software productsApplicants must be Australian citizens and hold or be able to obtain an Australian Defence Security Clearance to NV1 level.Information including past and present nationality and citizenship may be requested to check eligibility for access to materials controlled under various export control regimes, including ITAR.About usSaab Australia is a defence,
