Business Development Manager - Drives & Switchgear
The companyDue to consistent growth, this well-known and trusted national distributor of industrial low and medium voltage electrical and automation products is seeking a Business Development Manager, in Brisbane.
The positionCalling on Industrial Clients and Tier 1-3 Electrical Contractors, the aim of this role is to develop and implement a successful sales strategy for major accounts, both existing and new.
You will be supplying a wide range of quality power distribution products focusing on drives, switchgear and automation products, whilst representing a genuine market leader that is highly regarded and widely used across Australia.
Duties include:
To canvass, identify and negotiate with potential customers.
To prepare and supervise such marketing and advertising plans.
To deploy a successful sales strategy and tactics for future growth with key accounts and target markets.
Contribute to the profitable growth of the business.
Develop strong customer relations with key accounts.




Provide sales support and training to customers.
Your key skills and competencies will include:
An electrical trade or engineering qualification is preferred but not essential.
Knowledge of power distribution or cable products is essential.
Relationships with Switchboard Builders and Tier 1-3 electrical contractors are essential.
A structured and planned approach to sales with face to face customer experience.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Willingness to work as part of a team, to learn and create solutions.
