Randstad is pleased to be partnering with our client who are a household name and large business operating within a highly desirable industry sector.
They are an exceptional employer with a reputation for strong staff retention, boasting many long-term employees who have enjoyed genuine opportunities to progress and develop.
Randstad has placed three payroll team members here over the last four years, all of whom remain with the business and provide excellent feedback regarding the supportive working setting.
They are currently seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to join their team on an 18-month contract.
This role will report into a highly experienced Payroll Manager who values development, mentoring and upskilling, with exciting plans for the continuous improvement of their payroll function.

Attractive Remuneration: $105K + SuperannuationFantastic Flexibility: Hybrid working with an initial 2 to 3 days per week in the office during training, moving to an option to work from home up to 4 days per weekLocation Choice: Work from either a brand new Fortitude Valley office with easy access to public transport, or a location in Brisbane's Eastern suburbs featuring free onsite parkingLongevity & Stability: An 18-month contract with a business renowned for its excellent culture and staff longevityProfessional Growth: Direct mentorship from an experienced manager committed to team upskilling About the role: Reporting into Payroll leadership and working within a collaborative corporate team, you will take ownership of payroll delivery for designated business areas while acting as a trusted subject-matter expert.
Your duties will include:



Managing the accurate and timely execution of payrolls for assigned business unitsEnsuring strict payroll compliance with all legislative, statutory, and internal requirementsActing as the point of contact for complex payroll data, calculations, and employment conditionsResolving escalated payroll queries, issues, and discrepancies with high-quality customer serviceAssisting with system configuration, testing, and continuous process improvementsMaintaining accurate records using internal case management systemsCoordinating and drafting communications regarding internal payroll updates About you: 5+ years of experience in a similar role/sExperience working in a high volume environmentStrong working knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, tax, and superannuationSolid experience interpreting Enterprise Agreements, including complex pay, leave, and allowance structuresExperience using a large payroll system such as Chris21/iChris, SAP, Aurion, Preceda, etc.Advanced Excel capabilities, including the ability to run ad-hoc reporting and work with macrosHigh level of attention to detail with a structured, proactive approach to deadlinesFull and unlimited Australian working rights Other opportunities?
