We're looking for a Design Manager with a proven track record in high-rise residential to play a critical role in shaping how our projects are designed, documented and delivered.Design Managers at Hindmarsh are responsible for managing the design process and design documentation to ensure the most efficient design outcome in terms of contract brief, cost and construction programme, while building solid relationships with clients and consultants from project outset.
Your day to day will include:Leading the design management process, from tender through to construction completionManaging the consultant engagement process, including developing scopes of work and monitoring performanceBuilding and maintaining strong client and stakeholder relationshipsLeading development of the Design Management Plan and coordinating authority approvals, including Development Approvals and Construction CertificatesLiaising with architects,



engineers and consultants to define project specifications and resolve technical mattersDriving consultants to complete detailed design and documentation in line with programmeProviding cost control input in coordination with the Estimating and Commercial teamsWe are looking for team members who have:Proven experience as a Design Manager or Senior Project Engineer on high-rise residential projects, with a Tier 1 or Tier 2 building contractorA Bachelor Degree in Architecture, Engineering or Construction ManagementStrong understanding of the design, documentation and authority approval process for high-rise residential projectsDemonstrated experience managing consultant teams and design programmes on projects exceeding $20MSound commercial and contractual acumen, including experience in cost planning and value managementAdvanced stakeholder management, communication and negotiation skillsBuild more than projects.
