The project operates in a highly regulated Defence environment with strict quality, safety and compliance requirements, supporting Australia's long‐term naval and Defence capability.
Works include multidisciplinary civil infrastructure scopes across roads, bulk earthworks and structural bridge components.About the OpportunityWe are seeking a Project Engineer with experience delivering civil and/or structural scopes to support the successful delivery of Defence infrastructure works.




The role is suited to an engineer who enjoys hands‐on involvement in planning, cost control and site delivery while coordinating subcontractors and engaging with design and construction teams.
You will play an integral role in supporting safe, high‐quality delivery outcomes in a rapid‐paced and high‐compliance environment.Key accountabilitiesSupport delivery of multidisciplinary scopes across roads, civil and structural worksAssist with programming and planning activities, including short‐term and look‐ahead planningContribute to cost management, project controls and forecasting activitiesSupport subcontractor management, coordination and performance trackingParticipate in design reviews to ensure constructability, compliance and value for moneyImplement and maintain stringent quality assurance processes aligned with Defence standardsContribute to construction methods development and sequencing to optimise cost and time outcomesPrepare reports and communicate effectively with project teams and stakeholdersRequired Skills and CompetenciesA tertiary qualification in civil engineering or similar with a minimum 5+ years' experience in site-based deliveryProven experience across roads, bulk earthworks, structures or multidisciplinary civil scopesStrong understanding of project programming, cost control and forecastingExperience working with subcontractors in a live construction environmentHigh level of written and verbal communication skillsDue to project requirement, you will need to be an Australian Citizen & have the ability to obtain a Baseline Security ClearanceWhat we offerAt ACCIONA, you will contribute to meaningful infrastructure that supports Australia's Defence capability.
