About the role: We are currently seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team based in Mt Isa.
You'll take ownership of structural, mechanical, and civil construction projects (typically up to $10M in value) across both surface and underground mining environments.
The role is ideally suited to someone based locally in Mt Isa, but FIFO options will be considered.
What you'll be doing: Lead the delivery of SMP and civil construction projects from start to finishManage project scope, budgets, timelines, and reporting requirementsCoordinate and supervise site-based teams and subcontractors Develop and maintain project schedules, resourcing plans, and progress reportsAct as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholdersPrepare and present reports on project performance, risks,



and opportunitiesUnderstanding of quality assurance requirements, including ITPs, inspections, hold points, and construction documentationWork closely with the MCA commercial team to support contract administration, procurement, cost tracking, progress claims, and variation management across assigned projectsAssist with commercial reporting and forecasting, ensuring project financial performance, contractual obligations, and supporting documentation are managed in conjunction with the MCA commercial team What we're looking for: Trade qualification or equivalent practical background (Engineering degree not essential)Minimum 2-3 years' experience in a project management or supervisory roleProven track record delivering small to medium civil or mining projectsStrong scheduling and reporting skills Ability to manage people, deadlines, and competing priorities under pressureExperience in underground mining environments highly regardedUnrestricted Driver's licence and White Card required Why Join MCA?
