ShawX Manufacturing is an Australian manufacturer of innovative EjectX truck bodies, designed and built for the heavy transport, asphalt and civil industries.We are growing our manufacturing operation and are looking for an experienced Mechanical Fitter Team Leader to join our team and play an important role of coordinating the assembly, installation and commissioning of our EjectX truck bodies.This is a hands-on position suited to someone who takes pride in quality workmanship, enjoys working with mechanical equipment and wants to be part of a growing Australian manufacturing business.About the RoleAs the Team Leader, you will be responsible for the coordination and mechanical assembly and installation of EjectX truck bodies onto heavy vehicles.Your responsibilities will include:Lead & supervise daily fit up and assembly activitiesMechanical fitting and assembly of EjectX truck bodies including hydraulic componentsAllocate labour ,resources & monitor workflow to achieve production targetsReading and interpreting engineering drawings and specificationsEnsure quality standards are metConduct required pre-start & toolbox meetingsDrive compliance with WHS policies and proceduresConducting testing and final quality checksMaintain production records,
checklists & quality documentationSupport Lean Manufacturing & Continuous Improvement initiativesAbout YouWe are looking for someone who is practical, reliable and takes pride in their workmanship.You will ideally have:Previous Team Leader or Supervisor experience in mechanical fitting/manufacturing environmentDemonstrated experience in fitment of truck bodies/ heavy industrial manufacturingAbility to read and understand engineering drawingsStrong mechanical aptitudeHigh attention to detailA strong commitment to safety and qualityGood problem-solving skillsReliable attendance and a positive attitudeWhy Join ShawX?
