As Group Manager you will oversee a team of 38 professional and field staff and play a vital role in the leadership team of the Community Planning and Environment Division.On a Day-to-day Basis, This Role WillLead the strategic direction and day-to-day operations of the Workplace & Regulatory Services Group.Provide oversight to the following council services through your team Managers and Coordinators; Natural Resources, Sustainability, Environmental, Environmental Health, Development Compliance, Ranger and Animal servicesEnsure compliance with legislation and safety standards while promoting a safety-first culture among the team.Manage service delivery within budgetary constraints.Foster a culture of excellence, teamwork, and continuous improvement through effective leadership and mentorship, ensuring operational excellence in environmental and regulatory services.The Environment and Regulatory Services team is passionate about delivering what we say we will to our community to meet their needs now and into the future.
Our immediate priorities include embedding Council's new Compliance and Enforcement Policy, delivering key environmental strategies including the Biodiversity Management Action Plan and Urban Canopy Plan, and meeting the regulatory demands of one of the fastest growing regions in NSW.To Succeed In This Role You Will HaveRelevant degree level qualifications in Environmental Management, Environmental Science or Environmental Health or an equivalent combination of skills and experience.Demonstrated experience in a senior leadership role including managing,
