A major transport infrastructure project (valued at more than $1 billion) is underway across South East Queensland, with complex brownfield delivery in and around operational assets requiring careful integration with rail operations.
The head contractor is seeking a Project and Rail Integration Manager to provide senior leadership for this complex integration.
You'll manage interfaces with the rail operator, oversee configuration control, coordinate staged handovers and ensure operational readiness — a strategic role requiring systems thinking, mature stakeholder management and deep experience delivering complex transport infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
Lead interface management between construction delivery and rail operationsManage configuration control,



change management and approval workflowsCoordinate staged handover and operational readiness activitiesDevelop and maintain possession, isolation and access agreements with rail operatorsEnsure compliance with operational requirements and safety standardsSupport commissioning activities and transition to operationsManage stakeholder communications with client, operators and authoritiesMonitor and report on interface risks and mitigationsLead systems assurance activities and verification testingMentor project team on operational requirements and constraints
What We're Looking For
Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, systems engineering or related discipline12+ years on major rail or transport programsAt least one $100m+ program where they led complex brownfield integrationDemonstrated interface management and systems assurance experienceOperational readiness and configuration control expertiseDirect working relationships with rail operators or asset owners2+ years' average tenure per employer with at least one integration role held for 3+ yearsAbility to work flexibly around critical possessions and commissioning eventsExperience governing possessions, isolations or major operational access eventsExcellent stakeholder management and communication skills
