About the role:
Work across a varied portfolio of statutory insurance matters, including worker's compensation, Work Injury Damages, industrial common law claims, CTP and dust diseaseManage a busy caseload with a high degree of autonomy while working closely with experienced senior practitionersAdvise clients on liability, quantum, claims strategy and dispute resolution in a constantly evolving legislative environmentBuild direct relationships with insurers, employers, self-insurers, brokers and government stakeholdersAppear in relevant commissions and courts, and participate in conferences,



mediations and settlement negotiationsInstruct and work closely with medical, liability and investigation expertsDevelop deep procedural and technical expertise while building a clear specialization within statutory insurance litigation
The ideal candidate:
Associate or Senior Associate with approximately 3+ years' PQEExperience in workers' compensation, Work Injury Damages, statutory insurance, CTP or broader defendant insurance litigationDemonstrated ability to manage matters with increasing independence and confidently engage with clientsStrong drafting, analytical and strategic thinking skillsComfortable working in a quick-paced practice with a significant volume of active mattersCommercial, personable and collaborative, with a genuine interest in developing specialist expertise within statutory insurance
