Primary LocationEpping, VICJob Description SummaryService Stream's Power division are currently seeking an experienced Construction Lead to join our growing company.About the RoleYou will be responsible for undertaking the planning, quoting and delivery of projects or parts of projects under contract for customers, ensuring that time, scope, costs, safety and quality objectives are met.Nature of position:Permanent, Full TimeLocation:Epping, MelbourneReporting Line:Account ManagerKey ResponsibilitiesPlan and manage assigned projects from initiation through to project closureResponsible for project outcomesProject scope definition and scope controlProject scheduling including on-time deliveryProject communication including reporting, project stakeholder management and management of project information systemsManagement of project procurement activities including subcontract tendering and head/subcontract contract administrationManagement of the design, procurement, fabrication, construction, installation, testing and commissioning processes to complete project deliverablesContribute to the ongoing improvement of the company's project management systems and processesDevelop strong customer relationships at the project levelManage the delivery of customer projects to ensure high levels of client satisfactionManage all commercial aspects of the project in cooperation with the Works/Operations/Project ManagerEnsure that the project activities achieve or better target completion datesManage accurate project scheduling to ensure that delivery plans are realistic and achievableReview the status of project activities on a regular basis to ensure that activities are completed on time; develop contingency plans and implement corrective actions to deal with performance deviationsAbout YouEngineering or business related degree,



trade qualification or substantial industry experience Experience in the application of structured project management methodologies to a wide range of projectsHold a current construction induction cardValid driver's licenceProject Management experience in a contracting organisation or project based business or similar with a proven ability to operate in a agile live environment and to meet project hurdlesOver 2 years' experience in project management of projects within Distribution Underground conduit and cable industryContract management of customer and supply contracts up to $4M in valueAbility to understand technical aspects of the work undertaken by the team (procurement, design, construction, operation and maintenance)Understanding of power distribution networks, processes and proceduresKnowledge of work structures, conditions, tools and equipment used by team construction staffAbility to manage and takes accountability for all project functions.Financial Management: ability to maintain budgets & drive cost accountabilityHSEQ- risk assessment, legislative complianceCore programming skillsAbout UsService Stream, together with its subsidiaries and affiliates, is a leading national service provider to develop and operate Australia's essential communications, energy and water networks in the telecommunications, utilities and transport industries.
