With over 40 years of experience and a national presence, we're the trusted name in pet boarding and daycare.We're now looking for 2 x energetic, reliable Casual Animal Attendants to join our Pet Hotel & Doggy Daycare team at Hanrob Canberra (Symonston, ACT).
You'll be trained across both our daycare and boarding operations.
These roles have come about due to a shift in study timetables this semester, and we're covering approximately 15 hours per week each, primarily across Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday - with flexibility to pick up additional shifts (including weekends) highly valued, as total hours across the team can range from ***** hours per week depending on demand.Successful applicants must be available to start shifts as early as 7am and be open to weekend and school holiday work where possible.What you'll be doing:Caring for boarding and daycare pets - feeding, grooming, enrichmentFrequent cleaning and upkeep of facility to maintain a high level of hygiene and safetyHealth checks and general animal husbandrySupervising dogs and managing their behaviours to maintain overall wellbeing and safetyProviding exercise and enrichment to petsProviding friendly service to pet ownersCreating and distributing media content for our pet owners through videos and photosEnsuring accurate record keeping and entering information in our booking systemsSupporting your team to ensure the best outcomes for our furry guestsWhat we're looking for:Previous experience working or volunteering with animals is preferredAvailability across Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday is essential; additional availability (including weekends and school holiday periods) is highly regardedPhysically fit and comfortable working indoors and outdoors with pets of all sizesConfident communicators with a friendly, qualified approach to customer serviceReliable, positive team players who enjoy fast-paced, hands-on workAbility to work independently and willing to ask for guidance when neededBe committed to working safely and following instructions, policies and procedures at all timesNo licence requiredAvailable to attend a lawful unpaid work trial shift (operated within The Fair Work Ombudsman guidelines)Please note: This is a physically active role that requires the ability to stand, walk, lift, carry, bend, kneel, and handle animals (up to 50kg).
