Home and Community Support Services – Toowoomba QLDHome and Community Support Services is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Female Disability Support Worker to join our team in Toowoomba, Queensland.
This is a part-time position that plays a vital role in our mission to provide quality support and care to individuals with disabilities within our community.As a Disability Support Worker, you will be instrumental in enabling our clients to live as independently as possible whilst maintaining their dignity and promoting their wellbeing.
This role is essential to our service delivery and directly impacts the quality of life of the individuals we support.Monday 12pm-6pmFriday 12pm-6pmKey responsibilitiesProvide care and support to clients with disabilities, including assistance with daily living activities such as hygiene and meal preparationSupport clients in accessing community activities, social events and recreational opportunities to promote inclusion and engagementAssist clients with mobility and transportation to appointments, activities and community venuesHelp clients develop and maintain life skills that promote independence and self-determinationCommunicate effectively with clients, families, and the multidisciplinary support team to ensure continuity of careMaintain accurate and timely documentation of client support activities and progressRespond sensitively and promptly to clients' needs and concernsWork collaboratively with the broader support team to implement individualised support plansContribute to a secure and inclusive environment by adhering to health, safety and safeguarding protocolsWhat we're looking forA genuine passion for supporting individuals with disabilities and a commitment to person-centred carePrevious experience working in disability support, aged care,
