XPT SoftwareAustralia is part of group companies which has globalpresence across India & Europe.We have served100+ clients globally, fulfilling their onsite-offshoreneeds.Job DescriptionPositionData Modellerand AnalystRequired Capabilities and SkillsRequired CapabilitiesConceptual, logical (EntityRelationship) and physical data modelling.Data models review with both IT andbusiness audiences, communicating how the model meets requirements of bothexisting projects and the overall information architecture and strategy andany relevant deficiencies and gaps.UML modelling using all of the following:Activity diagramsComponent and package diagramsAnalyse and translate currentapplication and data landscapes and future business requirements intodetailed logical data models.Robust metadata management(technical and business), incorporating metadata practices into all modellingactivities.Analysis of source system includingdatabase structures, semi-structured and unstructured data stores.Understanding and assessment of sourcesystem schemas; table structures and relationships, primary / foreign keys,indexing,



etc.Determining reference data domainsand ranges and relationship to transactional data.Data mapping and transformationMapping of source data elements totarget models and data schemas using detailed logical data models.Ability to work with source systemSMEs to determine correct mappings, transformations and gaps.Analysis and documentation ofsource to target data lineage.Data Discovery and Data QualityAssessmentDetailed analysis of source systemdata structures and content to assess "fitness for purpose".
Skills, Experience & QualificationsExperience in data analysis andmodelling against transactional and analytical systems.Experience in the use of datamodelling tools and the management of data modelling repositories andsolutions.Experience in using data profiling,using both automated tools and hand coded SQL to determine data qualitymetrics, constraints, etc.Experience in the delivery of largescale, information management, information governance and analytics solutionsAt least 5 years of data modellingand analysis experience.Business communication skills.Working knowledge of largeenterprise relational database management systems comprising of traditionaldatabases (MS SQL Server, Oracle) and cloud based platforms and solutionswithin AWS.Working knowledge of datagovernance frameworks, processes and technologies such as data catalogues andbusiness glossaries.Work Experience: 10+ years with domain expertise.
