Employment Type: Permanent Full TimeLocation: Dubbo with hybrid working arrangementsAbout the roleAs a Therapeutic Specialist you will coordinate and deliver high-quality assessment, consultive and referral services to support the development for Children & Young People in our care have backgrounds of complex trauma, abuse and/or neglect, and in some cases physical and/or psychosocial disabilities requiring support.You will also deliver specialist support to our care teams through therapeutic supervision, practice support and leading reflective practice sessions.This permanent Full-Time opportunity.

We can also offer flexible start and finish times.
The successful candidate can be based anywhere in the Western region, however, there is a requirement to conduct home visits in Dubbo once per month.

social work or mental health nursing training.Key ResponsibilitiesLead therapeutic assessments and planning through comprehensive assessments and Positive Behaviour Support PlansDevelop, review and support implementation of relevant therapeutic support plans, such as Positive Behaviour Support PlansProvide therapeutic expertise and guidance to support managers with reflective practice, and facilitate the development of effective strategies to prevent and respond to pain-based behaviour for young peopleDevelop a thorough working knowledge of the CARE and Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) models to deliver training as requiredAdvocate and lead ethical, evidence-informed therapeutic practice, in alignment with the CARE and Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) modelsProactively engage and collaborate with relevant internal and external stakeholdersSkills & ExperienceTertiary qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Mental Health Nursingor other related discipline.Current registration or eligibility for registration with the professional body relevant to your qualification.Experience using evidence-based assessment tools with young people with trauma informed behaviourAbility to develop and promote positive person-centred behaviour supportsCurrent Driver's Licence and carSuccessful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and Working with Children Check.Applications close at midnight on Wednesday 19 August ****.Applicants are encouraged to apply as soon as possible as applications are continuously reviewed prior to the closing date; and as such the closing date is subject to change without notice.Advertised: 11 Aug **** AUS Eastern Standard TimeApplications close: 19 Aug *******:55 AUS Eastern Standard Time
