Hand & Home Disability Services – Strathfield NSWHand & Home is seeking reliable, experienced, and confident Disability Support Workers to provide 1:1 support to clients across Ryde, West Ryde, Five Dock, Strathfield, Parramatta and surrounds.
This role is best suited to workers who are comfortable supporting individuals with various presentations and who can travel across most of these local areas.This role requires support workers who are engaged, attentive, and proactive, with the ability to provide close supervision and maintain safe environments at all times.This role involves weekday and after-school hours, with increased hours available during school holidaysand occasional Saturday shifts.You'll be providing tailored 1:1 support to help clients develop independence, life skills, and meaningful social engagement in both home and community settings.Key Responsibilities:Provide 1:1 supervision and support for participants with complex needsDeliver personal care, including toileting, hygiene, and daily living assistanceAdminister medication in accordance with support plansImplement Behaviour Support Plans and respond appropriately to behaviours of concernSupport clients to participate in community activities, outings,



and social engagementAssist with life skills development and structured daily routinesMaintain clear communication with families and care teamsComplete shift notes and documentation in line with professional standardsWhat We're Looking For:Confident, calm, and proactive when supporting clients with complex presentationsExperience supporting individuals with Autism (Level 3)Experience working with verbal and non-verbal participantsExperience supporting individuals with behaviours of concernAbility to provide close supervision and maintain secure environmentsStrong emotional regulation and resilienceHigh reliability and professionalismAbility to work independently while remaining connected to the support teamConfidence assisting with learning, life skills, and structured routinesNDIS Worker Screening CheckWorking With Children Check (WWCC)Current First Aid & CPR CertificateAustralian Driver's LicenceOwn reliable vehicle with Comprehensive InsuranceWhy Work with Hand & Home?
