About the Opportunity: Kitchen Hand / Dish Hand
Norma's Deli is looking for a reliable and trustworthy Kitchen Hand / Dish Hand to join our dynamic team!
Reporting directly to the Head Chef, you'll play an important role in supporting the day-to-day kitchen operations, helping to maintain a clean, organised, and efficient workspace.
We're looking for someone dependable, proactive, and eager to grow, someone who can take ownership of their section and develop into broader kitchen responsibilities over time.
Key Responsibilities
Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, pans,



and kitchen utensils efficiently and thoroughlyMaintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, workstations, and food preparation areasOperate and maintain commercial dishwashing equipmentAssist with stock organisation and storageFollow all food safety and hygiene regulationsSupport kitchen team with basic prep tasks as requiredPerform other duties as directed by the Head Chef
Requirements
Previous experience in a similar role preferred but not essentialUnderstanding of basic food safety and kitchen hygiene standardsAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environmentHigh attention to detail and ability to follow instructions preciselyPhysically fit – able to stand for long periods and lift up to 25kgAvailability to work flexible schedule, including weekends and evenings
