About the role
Mater Hospital Springfield is seeking an experienced and compassionate Enrolled Nurse to join our Patient Care - Inpatient Unit in a Part Time 12-month maximum term parental leave cover, working 32 hours per week.
Thispositionwill involve working 24/7 rotating rostered shifts including early, late, night and weekend shifts.
Based at our Springfield campus, this position is a part of a landmark moment in Queensland healthcare at Mater Hospital Springfield - recently opened in ****.
This state of the art facility will meet the needs of the growing Greater Springfield region.
With a mix of public and private beds across ICU, maternity, emergency and medical, surgical services, it's set to care for over 200,000 patients annually.
Salary range: $***** - $***** per hourplus superannuationandaccess to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900+access to many staff benefits!
What you'll be doing
As an Enrolled Nurse, you will work collaboratively with Registered Nurses and the wider healthcare team to deliver exceptional inpatient care.
Provide safe, evidence-based nursing care within your scope of practice under the direction of a Registered NurseConduct patient observations, assessments and nursing interventions, escalating concerns as requiredSupport patients through treatment, procedures and recoveryAssist with care planning, discharge planning and health education activitiesAdvocate for patients and families, ensuring they are informed and supported throughout their careMaintain accurate clinical documentation and contribute to quality and safety initiativesCollaborate effectively with medical,



nursing and allied health professionals to achieve positive patient outcomesContribute to a positive team culture and support the learning and development of students and new staff
About you
The successful applicant will be self-motivated, self-starter who can work collaboratively with other speciality representatives to achieve a common goal.
Further, you will be committed to providing quality care and service to patients and their families.
Current Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) registration as an Enrolled Nurse (no restrictions)Demonstrated clinical nursing experience, ideally within acute care or a related specialtyStrong interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environmentCommitment to delivering safe, patient-centred care and achieving positive clinical outcomesSound clinical assessment and problem-solving skills within scope of practiceUnderstanding of quality, safety and infection prevention principlesCommitment to ongoing career development and continuous learningAvailability to work a rotating roster across a 24/7 service as required
