We are looking for a qualified and experienced Dental Assistant/Receptionist to join our busy, patient-focused dental practice in beautiful Taree.
This is a full-time, Monday to Friday position with no weekend work, offering an excellent opportunity to become part of a supportive, professional team committed to providing high-quality dental care in a welcoming environment.
About the Role
As an important member of our team, you will be responsible for both clinical assisting and front reception duties, including:
Chairside assistance for a variety of dental procedures
Preparing treatment rooms and ensuring efficient workflow
Cleaning, sterilising, and maintaining instruments in accordance with current infection control standards
Welcoming patients and providing exceptional customer service
Managing appointment scheduling and patient enquiries
Processing payments and health fund claims
Maintaining accurate patient records
Supporting the dentists and team to ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the practice
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Certificate III or IV in Dental Assisting or equivalent
Previous experience as a Dental Assistant and Dental Receptionist
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
A professional, caring, and positive attitude
Strong organisational and time management skills
The ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
A high standard of infection control knowledge and clinical presentation
Experience with dental practice software (CareStack, Dental4Windows, EXACT, Core Practice or similar) is highly regarded
Current CPR certification is desirable
