This role will oversee the implementation and management of Behaviour Support and Allied Health Services.
The position is responsible for the provision of service to participants via the management of people, finances and stakeholders, consistent with the strategic direction of MDS.
These programs provide services to people with a range of disabilities including mental health, behaviours of concern and other complex supports.MDS has seen significant growth in these services which has meant the addition of dedicated therapy spaces available for practitioners and clients.The successful candidate will have the benefit of working from a variety of locations: Therapy Space in Prestons, the MDS Head Office in Campbelltown and Remote work at home.Key Responsibilities for this position include:Lead and manage Behaviour Support and Allied Health services in line with MDS strategic goalsEngage and maintain positive relationships with contractorsOversee NDIS intake, transition, and onboarding of participants across servicesEnsure compliance with NDIS frameworks, particularly Positive Behaviour Support and Restrictive PracticesProvide leadership to staff through coaching, mentoring, supervision, and performance managementReview and endorse Behaviour Support PlansContribute to workforce planning,
including recruitment and selection of staffSupport financial sustainability through budget development and monitoring program expenditureParticipate in the MDS On-Call Program (up to 5 weeks annually)Maintain strong stakeholder relationships across participants, families, and external partnersThe successful applicant will have:Frontline Management experienceTertiary qualifications in Allied Health/Human Services (Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy or relevant discipline)Minimum proficient level or above Practitioner Suitability per NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission PBS frameworkCurrent NSW Drivers Licence and access to a reliable vehicleDESIRABLE: Occupational Therapy qualificationsDESIRABLE: Early intervention experience/paediatricDESIRABLE: Medicare experienceDESIRABLE: Applied Behavioural AnalysisThe Position is full time on a flexi time contract based in Campbelltown/Prestons, with the opportunity for some remote work as approved.
Also offered is salary packaging, flexible working hours, On Call allowance, mobile phone, Laptop and leave loading.
