About the roleReporting to the Administration and Finance Manager, the Accountant is responsible for delivering accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting across the organisation.
The role supports month-end processes, maintains general ledger integrity, ensures statutory compliance, and provides financial insights that support operational and strategic decision-making.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee day-to-day financial accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management.Prepare month-end financial processes, including journals, accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations.Assist in the preparation of management reports, financial statements, and performance analysis.Support statutory reporting obligations and ensure compliance with Australian Accounting Standards (AASB/IFRS).
Manage and reconcile aged care funding, claims processing, and Support at Home financial data.Ensure compliance with aged care funding requirements, regulatory obligations, and internal controls.Monitor financial performance, identifying trends, risks, and variances to support informed decision-making.Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support operational and strategic objectives.Support payroll processing, payroll reconciliations, and personnel cost monitoring.Maintain and improve financial systems, reporting frameworks, and process efficiencies,



including technology initiatives.Provide professional financial support and advice to management, clients, families, representatives, and other key stakeholders.About youTo be successful within this role, you are a professional in the field and will have:Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline, with CA/CPA qualification (or working towards).
