Clinical Governance Manager0.6 FTE | Adaptable Part-Time HoursWe are seeking an experienced Clinical Governance Manager to lead and strengthen the clinical governance, quality and risk framework across a national occupational health network.This is a senior part-time opportunity suited to someone who can combine strong governance capability with a practical, operational approach.
The role is not solely focused on policies and procedures; a key part of the position is working closely with clinical and operational teams to ensure governance frameworks, standards and best practice are implemented effectively across day-to-day services.The role will work closely with the Chief Medical Officer, clinicians, operational leaders and Executive Leadership Team, providing oversight across clinical quality, risk, compliance, audit, incident management, reporting and continuous improvement.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESLead and continuously improve the national clinical governance frameworkOversee clinical quality, patient safety and risk managementLead clinical audits, incident investigations, peer review and quality improvement initiativesOversee the Quality Management System, including corrective actions and continuous improvementSupport consistent and evidence-based Fitness for Work decision-makingPartner with the Chief Medical Officer on clinical governance and practitioner oversightDevelop and maintain clinical protocols, standards, policies and proceduresMonitor compliance with relevant regulatory,
accreditation and professional requirementsAnalyse clinical performance and governance data and provide reporting to senior leadershipWork with operational teams to embed governance initiatives and sustainable improvements across the organisationSupport governance across pre-employment medicals, health surveillance, injury management, statutory assessments and other occupational health servicesABOUT YOUYou will be an experienced clinical governance, quality or risk professional with a strong understanding of regulated healthcare environments.Ideally, you will have:A tertiary qualification in Nursing, Allied Health or a related clinical disciplineCurrent professional registration where applicable5+ years' experience in occupational health or a closely related environmentExperience within areas such as workplace health, defence health, injury management, pre-employment medicals, health surveillance or other regulated health assessment environmentsDemonstrated experience leading clinical governance, quality, risk or compliance programsExperience developing and improving clinical governance frameworks, audit programs and quality systemsStrong capability in clinical risk management, incident investigation and governance reportingExperience leading change and embedding continuous improvement initiativesConfidence working with clinicians, operational leaders and executive stakeholdersStrong influencing, relationship-building and communication skillsPostgraduate qualifications in areas such as Clinical Governance, Quality & Safety, Health Management or Public Healthwould be highly regarded.There is flexibility around how the hours are structured.
This could suit someone looking to work three full days per week, or someone who would prefer to spread shorter hours across additional days.This is an opportunity to take ownership of a national clinical governance function while remaining closely connected to the clinicians and operational teams delivering services on the ground.
